Emergency Propane Information


Residential Customers


Smell Gas? Act Immediately:

  • Leave the area right away.
  • Don’t use lights, phones, or appliances.
  • Turn off the main tank valve if safe.
  • Call 911, then call our emergency line at (866) 442-7911.

Fire or Explosion:

  • Evacuate, call 911, and don’t return until cleared by authorities and a propane technician.

Winter Safety:

  • Clear snow/ice from tank and path.
  • Use a flag or marker for visibility.
  • Call early if low on propane.

System Disruption:

  • After a flood, storm, or outage, have a technician inspect before using appliances. Never relight pilot lights yourself.

Leak, Fire, or Equipment Failure:

  • Shut off supply valve if trained.

Severe Weather & Access:

  • Ensure roads and gates are accessible.
  • Prepare for snowcat access if needed.
  • Notify us if tank falls below 30% in a storm.

Post-Incident Protocols:

  • After outages or equipment damage, shut off all propane devices and call us to inspect before resuming use. Coordinate with your site safety officer if needed.

Emergency Planning:

  • Train your team on leak signs and evacuation.
